The students are now working in the text, Chemical Interactions.  The first chapter explains the differences between ionic, covalent, and metallic bonds.

            In Chapter 2, the students will be learning about balanced chemical equations.

            In the lab this month, the students will be observing how different substances react to the addition of salt.  In another lab, the students will be looking for evidence of chemical reactions when heat is added.
