Thanksgiving is next week.
Reflecting on this very special holiday, we in the school library
are most grateful for our beautiful space, our large collection of
wonderful books and resources, and most especially for all the
people who continue to support us through donations of time, talent,
and treasure.
Each week a group of women come with
smiling faces and eager hands. They check books in and out, keep
the shelves in order, find requested books for students, read
stories to the little ones, help with this year’s full inventory and
assist with numerous other tasks that keep the library running
smoothly. We would not be able to maintain a well-working
library without them. God bless you!
Throughout the year, we receive both
financial donations and new or near-new books from school families,
parishioners, and alumni. Their generous spirit is a blessing for
the entire school.
Each month dozens of students pay for a new book that is then given
to the library in honor of their birthday. What a treat for all of
our students!
Thanksgiving is a good time to walk through the school library
acknowledging God’s blessings. We are grateful for all that is so
freely given through the hands
and hearts of our benefactors.
