Dear Parents,
November brings its own unique blend of joy and sadness. The
beautiful colors give way to the bare, grey days of pre-winter. The
plants and trees of the past summer and fall disappear and remind us
that we all must die in order to rise even more beautiful than before.
We remember the saints and we also pray for the poor souls. We are
reminded that we all belong to and believe in the Communion of Saints.
Let us all take the time to teach our children this month about a
variety of saints and also the importance of praying for our beloved
dead. This wonderful month also brings us the celebration of
Thanksgiving. We need to always go to our Father with a grateful heart
for the many blessings He has given to us.
There are many exciting and
wonderful happenings this month during school time.
We went to the Shedd Aquarium on
Wednesday, November 5th and all had a fabulous time. If you
haven’t discussed this trip with your child, please do! Ask them to tell
you about all the exciting things we were able to see and accomplish. A
big thank you to Mrs. Fornaro for planning this trip and a special
thanks to Mrs. Grimes, Hackett, Scanlon, and Smith. Without these
wonderful chaperones the trip would not have been possible.
Parent conferences will take
place on Thursday and Friday, November 6th and 7th.
Monday afternoon, November 10th,
our students will be receiving the sacrament of Reconciliation. Please
discuss this important avenue of God’s grace with your child.
Happy Thanksgiving and God’s
Blessings upon you and your families.
