8th Grade Writing
Ms. Smith
November, 2008
We are currently finishing up the personal pronoun section of the
pronoun chapter. This section looks at the personal pronoun uses in
the nominative, objective, and possessive cases. We will take a test
over this section on Wednesday, November 5th.
We will then go on to study the second half of the pronoun chapter,
which covers interrogative, relative, indefinite, and distributive
pronouns. One of the main topics covered under interrogative and
relative pronouns is the correct use of “who” and “whom” – two
commonly misused words.
At the end of the month, we will begin writing a persuasive essay
entitled, “Where are the American Heroes of Today?” This is an essay
contest sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary.
