It’s that time of year! I am excited for this year, as
it will be my first year as a homeroom and religion teacher. I look
forward to meeting all the parents of my homeroom students, and
renewing the acquaintance of those of you I already know.
I know my seventh graders as I have taught them for two
years wearing my computer teacher hat! This is a chance to form a
new relationship with them, on a daily basis with all the
responsibilities of a homeroom and the opportunities this presents.
Teaching religion opens up another level to my relationship with
them. I expect to grow as much as they will this year in knowledge,
experience, spirituality and reflection.
Please, whether student or parent, know my door is
always open, be it positive or negative. This is a change for me
and change is always exciting. Looking forward to a positive, life
affirming, introspective and, let’s not forget, fun year.
